Epazote is a Mexican herb that seems to inspire strong reactions in those who taste it. Some find it bitter and turpentiney, some find it minty and citrusy. Love it or hate it, however, epazote is an essential herb for certain Mexican dishes, including Mole Verde and some versions of tortilla soup.
Please note: our current batch of epazote is significantly more finely ground that the photo shows. It is close to powdered.
